M.Tech (VLSI Design)
Computer science & engineering is one of the most widely used branches of Engineering. It has wide applications all over, almost in every sector. M.Tech in Computer science & engineering consists of detailed study of the wide application of computer science. Under the M.Tech level, the course deals with more detailed study of all those aspects which were left or were just introduced in the B.Tech level. M.Tech in Computer Science Engineering deals with a complete study. In short it teaches everything about computers and things related to computers. The M.Tech (CSE) degree program offers the students the necessary background to pursue research or a career in the industry. The excellent results and the placements in reputed companies have given added momentum to the program. In the year 2008, the M.Tech (CSE ) degree program saw its birth and added onto the repute of the department. Course outlook: The course of M.Tech in Computer Science is of 2 years. These 2 years are divided in 4 semesters, each of 6 months. After every semester an examination is conducted so that the teachers as well as students get to know their strengths and weakness and work on their weak points to have an overall development. Dissertation to be submitted at the end of program i.e. in 4th semester of M.Tech.(C.S.) M.Tech.(CS) an Industry Specific ApproachThe objective of this course is to train the manpower required to meet (a) to meet the industry needs of the country, (b) to pursue research in specialized areas, and (c) to meet the growing needs of engineering colleges for trained faculty in Computer Science and Engineering.
M.Tech (Digital and Wireless Computer Engg)
M.Tech is a two year duration PG Degree course. A student is eligible for M.Tech course when he/she has successfully completed his/her graduation in Technical Field. The department of Electronics & communication Engineering has started M.Tech Program in Communication Systems in the academic year 2009-2010 In the present scenario, communication Engineering is of vital importance for any society. In the information and global village concept, communication system have a major role to play in any civilization with newer hand in the EM spectrum through open various new communication system are evolving at a rapid rate. With these developments in mind the course M.Tech (Digital and Wireless Communication Engineering) was started with an intake of 18. This is a four semester course with last semester reserved for industrial training and project work. Students will have to give two technical seminars on current research topics Specialization in the field of Digital Communication will provide the candidates with a wide variety of opportunities, both in the Industry as well as in the R & D fields. They can work in areas dealing with Satellite Communications, Mobile and Wireless Communications, Optical Fiber Communications, Microwave and Antenna designs , Real time and Embedded System designs, Advanced Digital Signal processing and Image processing fields, etc.
