MISSION OF THE DEPARTMENT

1. To provide quality engineering and technical education to the students in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering.
2. To prepare students for utilizing more creativity, innovativeness and 'out-of-the-box' thinking.
3. To inculcate integrity, ethics and honesty through curricular, co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
4. To establish Industry Institute Interaction to make students ready for the industrial environment.
5. To provide students with hands on training on latest technology with supporting software and trainer kits.
6. To promote research based projects/activities to develop department as Centre of Excellence for research for students and staff.

Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs)

The educational objectives of our undergraduate education programs are embedded with the mission of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, and the mission of Gyan Vihar School of Engineering and Technology. The current educational objectives of the Electronics and communication Engineering program are:
1. To develop the ability among students to understand the concept of Mathematics, Physics and core electronics subjects which will facilitate understanding of new technology.
2. To provide student with a strong foundation in the engineering fundamentals necessary to formulate, solve and analyze engineering problems and to prepare them for graduates studies, R&D, consultancy and higher learning.
3. To build up skills to analyze the requirements of the electronics, understand the technical specifications, design and provide novel engineering solutions and efficient product design so that they can become future entrepreneurs.
4. To prepare graduates who possess the necessary foundation required to take up gainful employment in core sector and allied sector.
5. To give exposures to emerging technologies, training and opportunities to work as team on multidisciplinary projects with effective communication skills and leadership qualities.
6. To equip graduates with integrity and ethical values so that they become responsible Engineers.

PROGRAMME OUTCOMES

Graduates of Electronics and Communication Engineering Programme will have the ability
(1) Ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science and engineering for the solution of Electronics and Communication Engineering problems.
(2) Ability to formulate and analyze complex Electronics and Communication engineering problems.
(3) Ability to design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, and public health.
(4) Ability to design and conduct experiments, and to analyze and interpret data.
(5) Ability to use the techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools necessary for Electronics and Communication engineering practice.
(6) Ability to include social, cultural, ethical issues with engineering solutions.
